Today’s inspiration comes from Bonfire night. A night of big bangs and the sky full of sparkly delights.
And shouldn’t your special day go with a bang too?

Bonfire

So my colour palette for this board is: Dark blues, Greys and the odd huey orange.

The vibe/decoration:
So as the nights have defiantly take a turn for the chillier, inside would be a good option. But as I’d love to add a bit of fire magic I would look for a venue with enough outside space should the idea of fireworks frill you.  Which being on the island opens this up to many options.

For the tables I would go for dark blue table runners, teamed perhaps with names of fireworks for table arrangements. Sparkly table confetti would work perfectly with some candelabras.

Flowers: I really love how the shades work together, normally its brighter colours used but for this theme I really love that smoky/misty touch. And it ties in perfectly with the palette.

The Bride:
With the weather being a lot more wet/windy and just down right cold. I believe a cardigan or bolero is the right move, I’ve seen many images of the cardigan being used, and it doesn’t take away the magic of your dress. If anything it brings the outfit together plus adding the much need warmth for those outside photos.

The Groom:
Boots instead of formal shoes and a lovely thick snood to join his bride while outside. A lovely dark blue waistcoat with black suit.

The invite: A simple background of dark blue with gold writing in the style sparkler writing, will again give a little hint as to what your big day is going to be like.

The Cake: The sparkler topped cake is all about the show! A simple frosted cake here as I’ve also opted for a smore bar – Smores being an American fireside pastime, cinnamon biscuits with a toasted marshmallows and a piece of chocolate squished together for a moreish sweet treat.

Food and Drink:
For me when it’s cold and dark nothing says comfort food like a hog roast! The island has some lovely service available should this be something you would like. Most if not all include buns and sauces.
